We’re getting married in Cashel, County Tipperary, in the heart of Ireland!

There are a few easy ways to get here depending on where your Ireland adventure begins. Whether you fly into Dublin, Shannon or Cork, we recommend making a trip of it — come for the wedding, stay for the Guinness.

Flying In

Dublin Airport (DUB)

Approximately 2 hours from Cashel

Dublin will likely offer the most flight options, particularly for guests traveling internationally. It’s a great choice if you’d like to spend a few days in Dublin before or after the wedding. From the airport, we recommend renting a car or arranging transportation to Cashel.

Shannon Airport (SNN)

Approximately 1 hour 10 minutes from Cashel

Shannon is the closest of the three major airports and a convenient option for guests who can find a good flight. It’s also a great starting point if you’re planning to explore western Ireland before or after the wedding.

Cork Airport (ORK)

Approximately 1 hour 15 minutes from Cashel

Cork is another easy option and works especially well if you’re planning to spend time in southern Ireland. From Cork, Cashel is a straightforward drive north.

Getting to Cashel

By Car

Renting a car will give you the most flexibility, especially if you plan to explore Ireland while you’re here. Cashel is easily accessible from Ireland’s main road network and sits just off the M8 between Dublin and Cork. And a gentle reminder from your American hosts: they drive on the left.

Prefer not to drive?

Cashel can also be reached by bus or by taking the train to Thurles, approximately 20 minutes from Cashel, followed by a taxi or transfer to town.

Once You're in Cashel

The good news: once you arrive, you really don't need a car for the wedding weekend.

Cashel Palace is right in town, and Bailey’s Hotel is only a few minutes away on foot. We’ll share the full weekend schedule and any transportation details as we get closer.
